Microphones
Each station within the studio has a Shure SM7B microphone. The Shure SM7B Vocal Microphone is the “industry standard” for podcasting, streaming, and vocal recording. The mic has a smooth, flat, wide-range frequency response and features excellent shielding against electromagnetic hum generated by computer monitors, neon lights, and other electrical devices.
Whether it’s big-time broadcasting, professional podcasts, or high-end studio recordings, this legendary dynamic microphone delivers smooth, warm vocals and enhances the finer details of the human voice while blocking out all the distractions with excellent noise cancellation.
Mixer
Our studio utilizes the top-of-the-line in podcast mixing – the Rodecaster Pro 2. This amazing device allows for up to 4 microphones to be connected with built-in pre-amps for crystal clear sound. It also features voice filters, sound effects, and Bluetooth capabilities which allow for “call in guests” and a USB-C connection for computer audio.
This mixer also features multi-track recording, in case you want detailed audio editing for your podcast.
Cameras
Our studio features 5 Sony ZV-e10 4K video cameras to maximize video coverage of your recording session. Our camera system is fully customizable and allows for multiple angles and wide-shots to feature your digital signage. The Sony ZV-e10 also sports an enlarged sensor that captures up to 6k of data and downscales it to 4k for crystal clear and amazingly sharp video with colors that really pop.
We also allow our guests to monitor what each camera sees, so they can be sure the video being captured is always catching their good side!
Video Switcher
The heart of our video recording set-up is the Blackmagic ATEM Extreme Pro ISO video switcher. This allows us to capture up to 8 video inputs, as well as feature multi-cam views with Supersource technology. It also captures each video source separately, giving us maximum flexibility while editing video – perfect for eliminating mistakes and always featuring the guest that’s talking!
Small, but powerful, this video switcher ties our studio together and helps our clients get maximum coverage during their recording session!
Sound Proofing
Our studio has been professionally sound-proofed and sound treated to minimize outside noise to ensure clean audio during recording sessions. We have sound diffusers to scatter soundwaves, sound panels that absorb sound to prevent echo, and bass traps that absorb those pesky low-frequencies. Each wall, along with the floor and ceiling, have some form of sound treatment, as well as felt mats on the desk to keep sound from reflecting off its surface!
Our sound treatment is so good, we’re able to keep the air conditioner running during recording sessions, and you can’t even hear it in the finished recording – ideal for maximizing both comfort and sound while recording.
